Early Scultpures 2003-2009

These recent works are assemblages of disparate pieces of wood, stone, bone and metal – some in their natural state, others manipulated by the artist – brought together to create new form and relationship.

Walnut root, birds-eye maple, ebony, hand-forged iron, and treadle wheel from Singer sewing machine circa 1900.

Assemblage piece that include deer vertebrae, 1800’s iron-buckle, and pre-columbian beads as feet.
7″ long x 2″ wide x 5″ high.

Cherry sycamore and slate table with incredibly figured and colored cherry rootball hand shaped sphere.
14″ diameter.


Giraffe, 2009

Pine, all forest floor reclaimers. Slate base.
